After the contract is signed we give you the usual speech about the web design process, this information will give you an understanding of the processes involved to achieve the final completed website.
Expectations
We always make sure our clients have proper expectations for their website. One of the most asked questions is about being listed on search engines and how quickly they can get to page no 1. It does in fact take a bit of time to come up on a search engine, and in fact even if you type in your business name it sometimes could take several weeks for it to appear.
Another expectation is that once your website is running is that business will just automatically come in through your website. Unfortunately this is not going to happen. Your website needs to be promoted so you can attract new visitors to you website.

Responsibilities
We can't do everything for you website. Although we certainly try to make the process run as smoothly as possible, by providing updates where the website is currently at and what material we are currently waiting on. Depending on your project you could need to supply to us website outline, content, images and other materials that are required. There is always and emphasis and getting this material to us sooner rather than later as 90% of the projects that are delayed is due to clients not being able to supply the information that is needed for us to complete the work on time.
Timelines
It is important for first timers to have a clear understanding of how long the whole web design process can take. We like to establish a base timeline for things like, when the first design comp will be ready, when the html templates will be built, when the CMS System will be set up etc. Of course this timeline often changes multiple times, as it goes back to responsibilities, and the timeline can easily get extend out cause we don't have the materials we require or something unexpected comes up with another client.
Effective Communication
For us we are obsessive about working effectively as we like to respond to our clients requests the same day as we receive them. If we know when we will have what we need to move a project along, it helps every project we are working on including yours.
Another important aspect of web design is effective communication during the web design process. We need to have a complete understanding of your requirements and needs so that we can design a site that suits your budget and needs. Unless we have all the information we could design a site that is totally the opposite as to what you thorough it was going to look like.
